Recently, my Facebook events section has been inundated by upcoming house shows (hooray!), so I thought I’d make a quick post about some future gigs to keep on your radar:

October 20
Open Mic @ Drew and Joe’s Place
-This event is going to focus on the politics of the upcoming election. Some great speakers are lined up, and, as always, you’re welcome to come share your own words, songs, art, etc.

October 30
Devil’s Night II @ The Tribe
-What better way to celebrate a brutal night like Devil’s Night than with a kick ass show in a basement? Continuing in last year’s tradition, this night features some bands possessed by the spirit of others like the “Off” White Stripes and Jay “Zombie” Reatard. Too Soon?

November 4
Sewn Leather and Taboo @ The Tribe
-It’s quite a treat to get two Tribe shows within a week of each other, and this one has a pretty wicked line-up. The show kicks off with a slew of supporting acts like Bonerattle, Goloka Yeggs, and one of my favorite new local acts, Vegetable.

November 19
GDP @ Trevor
-It’s getting kind of rare to see a great rap act in the houses of Tempeasy, but Trevor breaks the rap-less streak with GDP. Considering GDP has played with Wu-Tang and RZA separately, I’m looking forward to a great show. Hopefully, Hot Dog and Pistol, can start the night with a bang.

All events start at what I am now dubbing Normal Concert Time (NCT) at 8 PM.
Do it.
